Dr. Montgomery serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Respiratory Therapeutics at Gilead Sciences, and previously founded Corus Pharma.

• Seattle Genetics expands antibody-drug conjugate patent Portfolio  Seattle Genetics announced that the U.S. PTO has issued a patent related to its antibody-drug conjugate ADC technology. U.S. Patent No. 7,659,241 covers cleavable linkers and potent auristatin drug payloads used in certain of Seattle Genetics' ADC programs, most notably brentuximab vedotin.

• FDA approves Botox to treat spasticity in flexor muscles of the elbow, wrist and fingers  The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Botox (onabotulinumtoxin A) to treat spasticity in the flexor muscles of the elbow, wrist, and fingers in adults. Spasticity is common after stroke, traumatic brain injury, or the progression of multiple sclerosis.
