In October 2019, Lundbeck acquired Alder Biopharmaceuticals, now known as Lundbeck Seattle BioPharmaceuticals (Lu-SBP). The Lu-SBP site is responsible for antibody development and biologics manufacturing in collaboration with the global Lundbeck CMC Biologics organization.
SUMMARY
Supports early and late stage analytical development and characterization towards commercialization of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). Responsibilities include assay development, improvement, & support on a variety of analytical techniques, data analysis and report writing. This job also involves interacting with Lundbeck Seattle Upstream, Downstream, and Quality Control groups, and external CMO’s.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Works in laboratory to develop or improve analytical methods for process development
- Conducts product characterization experiments – generate data
- Supports Upstream and Downstream development – analyze samples, summarize data, explain data
- Interprets analytical results with minimal supervision – charts and data
- Writes analytical methods and development reports to support IND
- Maintains instruments and trouble-shooting assays
- Ensures lab efficiency with on-time delivery of results
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Accredited bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of biopharmaceutical experience OR 12+ years of a combination of education and biopharmaceutical experience
- Experience in therapeutic mAb and protein characterization
- Analytical development experience with analytical tools such as SE-HPLC, IEX, RP-HPLC, glycan analysis, CE, cIEF, and a variety of wet chemistry techniques
- Extensive experience in chromatography and Empower software is essential
- Excellent oral, written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and effectively work in a team environment
- Ability to focus and work in a fast-pace and results oriented environment is essential
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Accredited BS / MS in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry
- Experience with SPR binding assays
TRAVEL
- Willingness/Ability to travel up to 5% domestically. International travel may be required. (If applicable)
