Summary

Develops and maintains professional relationships with managed market customers by serving as a comprehensive scientific/medical/managed care expert supporting the full portfolio within the Seattle Genetics North American Medical Affairs Unit.

The CV&O Liaison in collaboration with commercial field managed markets is responsible for sustained identification, development, and maintenance of managed care customers and accounts in order to facilitate discussion around access to our medical, health policy, & health economic data and information.

The CV&O Liaison will collect insights that help advance the development of the Seattle Genetics portfolio while leading, developing & executing medical account plans for assigned customers and geography.

The CV&O liaison under the guidance of the Director will ensure the appropriate strategies and tactics are developed/implemented and customized to meet the needs of a dynamic customer base.

The CV&O Liaison will compliantly tailor scientific product, clinical and health economic information that meets the needs of customers in support of medical strategies.

The CV&O liaison will also collaborate with headquarter cross-functional teams to interpret medical and payer value evidence across the portfolio.

The CV&O liaison will offer a sense of urgency and customer service in a timely, compliant and focused manner.

Accounts may include but not limited to National, Regional, Specialty Pharmacy, PBMs, Integrated Delivery Networks, Medicaid, VA/DOD, medical experts and other population based systems of care.

Requirements:

  • Advanced Degree (PharmD, Ph.D, MD, DO, RPh) preferred, with 5 years of Industry and/or managed care experience required. Additional certifications preferred (BCOP, BCPS)
  • Demonstrated technical and scientific expertise in Oncology/Hematology is strongly preferred
  • An additional degree in health economics, health outcomes, health policy or public health a plus
  • Field based medical experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of managed care,pharmacoeconomics, disease management, and medical research
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are required (including ability to network), strong personal integrity; teamwork abilities and a customer focus sense of urgency are necessary
  • Must have the ability and knowledge to effectively communicate critical medical, scientific and business information to internal stakeholders as well as customers in the medical community
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of the FDA, OIG, HIPPA and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry to ensure compliance with these external standard operating procedures
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the organization of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in constantly changing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • This is a field based position with field based priorities
  • Extensive travel (approx. 50-70%) is required with this position
  • Geographic location is flexible based but must reside within geography
