Summary

Seagen is a multi-product global oncology company making strides in a rapidly evolving oncology therapeutic landscape. In support of the organization’s continued growth, Seagen endeavors to assess various customer engagement and marketing strategies for more in-depth engagement per customer type. With a strong commitment to customer engagement and relationship building, as well as a drive for continuous innovation in oncology, we are building a novel Innovation Center within our US Market Access function. The Innovation Center, housed within the greater Global Value & Access function, will be critical to ensure future success in market access strategies and execution for Seagen products across all customer types.

The Director of Pilot Programs within the Innovation Center will report to and work with the Head of the Innovation Center and partner with other functional areas across the organization to refine new customer engagement approaches (e.g., enterprise accounts; payer, provider, and/or influencer) via the design and implementation of pilot programs.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head of the Innovation Center and Head of US Market Access to set strategic priorities for innovation with key customer entities and drive a paradigm-shift for Seagen’s customer engagement model towards population-level approaches
  • Design and implement various near- and long-term pilot programs with cross-functional teams with the aim to continuously evaluate and refine Seagen’s customer engagement strategy. Near-term pilots expected to be developed include the following:
    • Work with the Senior Director, Head of Patient Access, Policy and Advocacy to develop a CMS Pilot to engage with the Agency on patient access issues
    • Partner with Franchise Account Teams to pilot new engagement of Enterprise Accounts (e.g., cancer centers, super practices, and IDNs)
    • Partner with Regional Account Teams to pilot expanded Medicaid engagement to support product launches
  • Support US Market Access strategy throughout commercialization and ensure alignment across all internal stakeholders (Global Market Access, Global HEOR, Pricing Operations & Analytics, Patient Access, Advocacy & Policy, Trade &, and US Sales and Marketing)
  • Promote an environment of ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement across all levels of the US Market Access team by regularly communicating Seagen’s vision, business objectives, desired performance outcomes, and future actions
  • Inform assessment of customer engagement and market access approaches across the organization for targeted or broad implementation
  • Ensure that Seagen is viewed in the marketplace as a strategic partner for identified customer types
  • Be an enthusiastic, positive change agent and champion for innovation within the broader US Market Access function within Seagen, including helping other Seagen staff generate new ideas for customer engagement
  • Develop a tactical plan and execution strategy in coordination with Market Access, Marketing and Sales teams
  • Collaborate and communicate with multiple internal customers on business strategy, revenue projections, resourcing, and delivery of operational goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of oncology experience in oncology market access or regional account or national account director roles
  • Established customer relationships with industry influencers, payer stakeholders, oncology physician networks, and key strategic partners
  • Demonstrated strategic capabilities and successes through designing and launching successful customer engagement innovation strategies
  • Strong knowledge of trends, issues, and policies influencing varied customer types in the oncology market
  • Robust knowledge and experience across franchise marketing, managed markets, and sales management in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Proven track record in US market access, reimbursement, and access for oncology products in both pharmacy and medical benefits, including demonstrated ability in developing and executing access strategies
  • Proven ability to develop creative solutions to developing opportunities with significant scope and visibility
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytic skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Advanced Degree preferred
