Senior Manager Sales Insights & Analytics

Summary:
As part of the sales operations team, you will provide revenue generating brand insights and analytics through accurate data collection, processing, and analysis. Your primary customers will be sales leadership and key stakeholders across the commercial business. This role requires you to look at the many dimensions of our business, including cross-functional data that will require effective collaboration. You must have a proven ability to drive business results with data-based insights. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. It will be essential to collaboratively develop data strategy, insights, and reporting tools for sales teams to grow their business and develop wide-scale business solutions that will impact the broader portfolio.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Generate insights and analytics to inform sales-related business decisions
- Drive decision making by influencing strategic partners across sales leadership and other areas of commercial
- Develop and measure KPIs, handle tracking to plan, and identify performance gaps across the business
- Identify gaps and offer remedies for underperforming areas to meet sales performance objectives
- Conduct regular business reviews with senior leadership
- Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, sales, and marketing
- Leverage predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, targeting and other business outcomes
- Lead a team of consultants and analysts where needed to effectively mine and analyze data from company databases to generate customer insights and new business strategies
- Partner with technical teams to build scalable data architecture to support reporting, visualization, dashboard, and tools development
- Building positive relationships with consulting business partners and team members within Sales, Marketing, Global Market Insights, Global Value Access, Finance, IT and Operations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant data analytics, data science, or related experience
- 2+ years of experience leveraging business intelligence tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau)
- Strong verbal and written communication/ presentation skills
- Strong SQL skills and some programming or scripting skills (Python, Spark, etc.)
- High level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Demonstrated ability to apply data and analyses to drive high impact business decisions
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry is preferred
- Pharmaceutical sales experience is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Science, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline
- MBA Strongly Preferred
