Zymeworks is seeking a highly motivated professional who is looking to grow their career with our company. The LMS Administrator will help ensure the delivery, assignment, and tracking of all digital training at Zymeworks.

This position may be based in Seattle, WA and will report to the Senior Director, People Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional leaders to design, build and launch people initiatives and programs to include:
    • Career architecture frameworks and professional development programs in support of Zymeworks key business objectives.
    • Goal setting and feedback systems to support Zymeworks adoption of OKRs and the evolution to a continuous feedback culture.
    • Performance management systems, processes and workflows aligned to the PMReboot Design principles.
  • Workforce planning processes with supporting tools that align with the needs of FP&A, and support a comprehensive organization blueprint and headcount planning strategy.
  • Co-create and support integrated change management activities for people-related programs and initiatives launched across the company:
    • Create triage reviews of people-related initiatives (People Team, IT, Office Service, etc.), to promote sound sequencing of programs that impact people at work, but in a manner that doesn’t overwhelm the program teams’ ability to perform their day jobs.
    • Introduce collaborative group methods to support program ideation, prioritization, strategy/goal alignment, and the creation of work-back schedules for launch.
    • Develop metrics/scorecards to measure the successful launch of programs/initiatives (leading & lagging KPIs), recommend on-going metrics aligned to the People Team 3-5 Strategic Plan.
      • Develop/promote a consistent set of Agile, Change, and Lean tools based on project needs (strategy map, value-stream map, case for change, Kanban boards, etc.).
    • Support the design and implementation of the technology roadmap for the People Team:
      • In close partnership with the eventual system/program owner, manage the evaluation & vendor selection process for Talent Hub, Goal Setting/Feedback Tool, Rewards Tool, HRIS, etc.
      • Collaborate with the appropriate teams, to support and/or drive their program setup – introducing relevant tools/processes to fill in any knowledge/experience gaps in program execution.
      • Work closely with system/program owners and other key stakeholders (IT, legal, FP&A, etc.) to manage the initial contracting process for People Team vendors and establish key metrics to monitor vendor performance and accountability during the onboarding phase.
    • Contribute thought leadership to processes, analytics and experiences for candidates, clients/business groups, employees and the People Team:
      • Provide thought leadership to the People Team’s dashboard & scorecard for measuring various aspects of the employee experience.
      • Partner with Operations Team to continue to evolve programs/experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in the collaborative design and effective implementation of critical people systems and programs to include career development, goal setting and feedback processes, performance management programs and learning initiatives.
  • Proven track-record of successfully managing a variety of complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and geographies for a high-growth company.
  • Previous successful experience in implementing methodologies to measure, monitor and drive efficiencies and reduce error rates in key processes.
  • Deeply experienced and proficient in the use of Agile and/or Lean methodologies (or equivalent) for use in project management and/or systems, programs or process deployment.
  • Proven interpersonal and people leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high paced, fast changing environment. Results oriented.
  • Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to integrate people and business strategies.
  • A passion for innovative solutions and process improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8-10 years of directly related experience in project/program management of people and talent strategies in a high-growth environment.
