Description

Seattle Genetics is an emerging global multi-product biotechnology company that develops and commercializes innovative antibody-based therapies for the treatment of cancer. The company’s industry-leading antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology harnesses the targeting ability of antibodies to deliver cell-killing agents directly to cancer cells. In addition to one marketed product, we are advancing a strong product pipeline of novel therapies for solid tumors and blood-related cancers designed to address significant unmet medical needs and improve treatment outcomes for patients.

Summary

We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and creative expert in protein engineering technologies to join Seattle Genetics’ Protein Sciences group. The successful candidate will lead efforts to improve our Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) platform and produce enhanced protein based therapeutics.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline.
  • Expert in an in vitro selection technology.
  • Strong background in analyzing protein structure/function and skilled at protein engineering.
  • Experience in measuring protein-protein interactions (by SPR, BLI, or Flow).
  • A strong record of accomplishments, based on high-impact publications and patents.
  • Proven creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Eager to work in a fast-paced, flexible and collaborative team environment.
  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience.

Desired skills:

  • Mammalian cell culture.
  • Familiarity with cell biology.
  • Experience engineering protein-protein interactions.
  • Managerial experience.
